Under the Magic Pine Tree is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Lead Teacher for our 2-year-old classroom in Gardnerville.
We're a Reggio-inspired early childhood program where children learn through exploration, relationships, creativity, and hands-on experiences.
We're looking for someone who enjoys the energy and wonder of two-year-olds and is excited to help them grow in confidence, independence, communication, and friendships.
You'll have the opportunity to train alongside an experienced educator as you transition into the lead role. We also provide planned curriculum, classroom resources, and ongoing professional development to support your success.

What you'll do
- Lead a classroom of curious, energetic two-year-olds.
- Build warm, positive relationships with children and families.
- Guide daily classroom routines, learning experiences, outdoor play, meals, and rest time.
- Use our curriculum and children's interests to create engaging learning experiences.
- Support children's developing communication, independence, and social-emotional skills.
- Work collaboratively with classroom assistants and school leadership.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, organized learning environment.
Who we're looking for
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Confidence guiding a group of young children through daily routines.
- A patient, positive approach to children's behavior and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability, initiative, and a willingness to continue learning.
- Ability to meet Nevada childcare licensing requirements for the assigned position.
Previous lead teaching experience is preferred, but we welcome experienced assistant teachers who are ready for their next step.
